2020

When the world closed down in 2020 because of the coronavirus pandemic, it dawned on everyone around us that there might come a moment when we would be obliged to stay only on property we own. Nothing history had not seen before — but for today’s generations a reminder that a fallback plan, a “back door”, is no longer science fiction but reality. Many people began looking for a place to rest their head without having to spend all their time in the cities where they work and live.

The idea

That is the moment our own idea was born: why not try to help those people. Having spent roughly ten years in the domestic property market, it was clear to us that going abroad was the direction we wanted to take.

First-hand

We tried searching beyond our borders several times ourselves — and we were not satisfied with the service we received.

Our path

So we put together our real-estate experience, added language, local and marketing know-how, and set out on our own path: helping fulfil dreams in the form of a property abroad.

Over the years we have helped many of you find a dream property that started as nothing more than an idea. Together, we turned it into reality.

So who is behind the zanepro brand?

I started out cleaning rooms in my parents' guesthouse in South Bohemia. I studied, played volleyball, lived in Canada for a year, and ended up in Prague as a back-office manager at one of the largest catering companies in the country. I brought two beautiful girls into the world, and after maternity leave (I still don't know why anyone calls it leave!) I could throw myself fully into property abroad — my love of travelling helped me on the way.

I love my dad's roast beef, my husband's scrambled eggs and a bit of quiet from my two girls.

I can't stand insincerity!

I started out as a bricklayer's helper, drove tourists around Europe and spent a few years jumping on the court in a Jihostroj jersey. After university, Prague threw its lasso around me, and for more than ten years now I have worked in the Czech property market. A shared love of travelling with my wife and the urge to discover new places made me look at property beyond our borders as well.

I love my mum's beer-braised sausages with blue cheese, my father-in-law's spicy pork strips with fries, the smiles of my two princesses and a bit of quiet from my wife.

I can't stand unreliability and people who can't be bothered!
