How it works
Our goal is to find a property that is tailored to you. We place great emphasis on understanding your needs as the buyer.
We do not want to end up serving developers and offering only their projects. That is why you will not find page after page of listings here — we work from your specific brief and look for properties on the ground that fit what you have in mind.
Give us the chance to present our work to you in person, so you understand why personal contact matters to us. Only once we know you can we search for property the way we would search for ourselves.
What does buying a property abroad actually look like? Let us walk you through it briefly…
Active search
After our first contact we try to arrange a personal meeting, where we listen to your wishes and requirements so that the search itself — together with our partners abroad — can be run the way we would run it for ourselves. Taste and expectations tend to look different from a distance.
Together with our partners abroad we shortlist properties worth presenting to the client.
Where possible we use virtual viewings, so the client can picture a property properly right at the start. From our long experience this phase is mainly informative — it matters for building a picture of what the local market offers at that moment. The truth is that the vast majority of our clients bought a property that was not in the original selection.
Arranging the viewing
Now we reach the phase we consider the single most important one in the whole process. We can arrange a viewing abroad from A to Z — planning the trip, booking flights and accommodation, arranging transport and so on. It is entirely up to you how much you hand over to us and how much you prefer to arrange yourself. For us the decisive factor in buying property abroad is the “genius loci”, the spirit of the place.
Our long experience keeps confirming the same outcome: a client flies out with one idea in mind and flies home with the keys to a completely different property. That is why we place such weight on this phase, and why we explain from the very start that if you are serious about buying, there is no point waiting for the listing that will enchant you — you fly there and look around in person.
Legal and transaction services
Here we reach the closing stage, where law firms carry out the legal due diligence so that every statutory condition for the administrative sale process is met.
Preparing the transaction documentation goes without saying, as does help with every step the purchase requires locally (obtaining a tax number, opening a bank account and so on).
Every country has its specifics — but that is exactly why we are here: to guide you through the process so that it feels no different from buying property at home.
Once the paperwork is done and the purchase price is paid, the last and most enjoyable step follows: the handover of the property and your dream coming true.
Voilà… all that is left is to buy the furniture, a toothbrush, and enjoy your new home.
After care
Buying a property takes time, and throughout it we stay in regular contact with our clients. Whether the process runs for a few months or turns into a long search, we keep sharing the information that leads to a successful deal and keeps both sides completely certain of where they stand.
We genuinely enjoy building a relationship that does not end with handing over the keys — it starts there.
It is a great honour that our clients still want to talk to us afterwards, so it is hardly a surprise that we have met up with them countless times since.
Our clients’ satisfaction comes first. Their wish to stay in touch is the proof of it — and a second payment for us.
